Our Class Books 2017-18

Join us on Year 2's reading adventure as we explore the world with many different books this year.

Summer Term

Our topic this term leads us on a journey of monsters and then into Scotland to read a range of Katie Morag books. You can listen to No such thing as Nessie here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4jC0MPKs7Y

Spring Term

We continue our reading journey under the sea with Dougal's Deep Sea Diary. If you have read Bob: Man on the Moon then you might recognise this character.

We begin our Spring reading with Limelight Larry. Have a look at our predictions for the story when we only knew the title.

Autumn Term

We continue our reading journey with Flat Stanley and The Fire Station. We will be writing our own stories as well as learning about fire safety.

We loved reading about Paddington: see our reviews below!

My favourite part was when Paddington lifted up his hat and asked for a leaflet in Peruvian. Lucy

My favourite part was when the people thought Paddington was a tour guide and he had to give the tour. Dorris

I like Paddington's hat and coat because they are my favourite colours. Florence

I like it when Paddington put his umbrella up and everyone followed him. Luca

I liked the part when Paddington told everyone to hop off the bus. It made me laugh. Rudi
