“Hello, I am Mrs. Guest and I am the new Reception teacher and Early Years and P.E. Coordinator at St. Kenelm’s. I joined the school at the start of this academic year and am very much looking forward to developing the Early Years Curriculum and the indoor and outdoor classrooms. I enjoy planning lots of messy activities for the children to explore and develop their gross and fine motor skills and believe that a child and teacher covered in different splodges over the course of a school day demonstrates that we have had lots of fun with our learning!

For the last four years I have worked as a teacher in the Early Years Foundation Stage in a school in Redditch, firstly in reception and then for the last three years in the Nursery. Before having my three children and becoming a fulltime Mum for a few years, I taught in Key Stage One at two different schools in Berkshire.

Outside of teaching I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and love a good day trip to somewhere new. I also enjoy reading, watching films, baking and going out for a curry, (I am from Birmingham after all!).”

“I have been a Teaching Assistant in the Reception class since 2002. I enjoy working with the younger children and find it very satisfying seeing how much they develop at this stage in their school life. In my spare time I like to be outdoors and love gardening and going for walks.”
