“Hello, I’m Jenny Morris, Year 3 teacher. I have been lucky enough to have worked at St Kenelm’s for 11 years now. A keen traveller and language graduate, I have a love of language learning and am fortunate in that the benefits of early language learning are now recognised and form part of the statutory curriculum .
As such, I thoroughly enjoy my additional role of teaching French and associated cultural awareness across Key Stage 2. At St Kenelm’s we also strongly believe in heightening our children’s awareness of their role as global citizens and as such I also co-ordinate our School’s activities as a Global Learning ‘Expert Centre’ hosting global learning sessions, sharing ideas and resources with other like-minded schools, to support our teaching and learning in this vital area of the curriculum. I am also responsible for Science throughout the school and am proud of our achievement in being awarded the Primary Science Silver Quality Mark in recognition of our efforts in promoting good practice in Science throughout the school.
Outside of school I am a keen walker and can, weather permitting, be seen heading for the hills, or local lanes, and canals with friends and, less often, my two teenage children! Once back at home I enjoy cooking, experimenting with different recipes from around the world and sharing my creations with family and friends. I am also having fun attempting to further my language skills by learning Portuguese.”

“I have been lucky enough to be part of the St. Kenelm’s team for 8 years. I currently work part time (Monday and Tuesday afternoons) in Year 3 covering Mrs Morris for her PPA time and enabling her to teach MFL in Upper Key Stage 2. My curriculum responsibility is History and Geography which I thoroughly enjoy leading. I fell very privileged to work in such a happy, caring school and I love working with all the enthusiastic pupils at St. Kenelm’s. My own two children were lucky enough to attend St. Kenelm’s but are now attending Sixth Form College and University! During their time at St. Kenelm’s, I was fortunate enough to be a Parent Governor and Chairman of the HSA.
When I am not working in school I am a Community Governor at a local Primary School and I enjoy walking our dog over the Clent Hills. I love spending time with my family and friends, especially on the water!”

“Hello, my name is Mrs Plant and I have been working at St. Kenelm’s for eleven years. I have seen many changes and watched the school grow from a small First School of 80 pupils to the size it is now. Both my children attended St. Kenelm’s, which has given me the ability to view the school through the eyes of a parent. I helped to run the toddler group in the village and have enjoyed supporting the children through their Primary School years; those toddlers have now gone onto college or into Sixth Form. One of the most interesting aspects of my job is meeting the needs of children as individuals and enjoying their unique characteristics!
Out of school I enjoy my garden, cooking, baking, reading and have recently taken up skiing again. The rest of my time is spent clearing up after my family!
