Year 5

Our Year 5 teacher is Mrs M Holding. We are supported in Year 5 by Miss J Cassidy.

Find out more about Mrs M Holding:

"Hi, my name is Michelle Holding and I recently joined St Kenelm's in January 2020. I have been a teacher for 17 years, working the majority of that time in a large school in Birmingham. Outside of school I enjoy travelling, spending time with my husband and two children and of course, planning my holidays!"

Find out more about Miss J Cassidy:

"Hello! I'm Julie Cassidy. I have been lucky enough to work at St Kenelm's Primary School since 2016. I am currently an LSA in Year 5 and 4, although in my time here, I have covered most year groups including Nursery and Reception.

Outside school, you will find me enjoying time with my family and walking our dog."

Our previous Year 5 teacher was Miss J Houghton (B.Ed. Hons). She is currently on Maternity Leave.

Find out more about Miss J Houghton:

“As Year 5 class teacher, I love being creative with our topics, using stories and information texts to make our learning come alive, and most importantly, seeing the moment when new learning makes sense! In school, I am currently in charge of English, Music and Worship and run the school orchestra and choir.

Whether in the classroom, in the assembly hall or out of school, singing and dancing makes me happy. I sing with a local choir and perform in musicals when I’m not teaching. I also enjoy baking with my nieces (and making a lot of mess) and looking after my god-children (while making even more mess!).
