Year 6

Our Year 6 teacher is Mr F Leek (BSc PGCE). We are supported by Learning Support Assistant, Mrs Y Walford.

Find out more about Mr F Leek...

“I’m Mr Leek and I am the year 6 class teacher. I have worked at St Kenelm’s for the last 10 years (9 of those in year 6). My teaching career started in 1990 and has been spent entirely in Key Stage 2. I adore working with children, and see it as a privilege to have an input into their learning journey. I co-ordinate mathematics and computing within St Kenelm’s, and during the year run (or jointly run) after school clubs for football, cricket and cross country.

Outside of school I love playing crown green bowls, walking and being with my family”

Find out more about Mrs Y Walford...

“I’m Mrs Walford and I spend most of my time in school supporting Year 6. I’ve recently returned to St Kenelms after a four year break to develop my knowledge of Early Years Education, by working in the private sector as a Nursery Manager and SENCo. I previously worked at St Kenelms for 15 years!

Along with stepping back into a Learning Support role I also supervise lunchtimes, which I find very rewarding as I get to spend time with the children outside of the classroom. I am also fortunate to work with other years in small groups, and occasionally whole class cover supervision. I have seen many changes at St Kenelms and feel privileged to be part of such a warm, welcoming and successful school.”
